A Complete Social Network For College Students
Campus Kiss is much more than a simple dating site. Campus Kiss strives to provide a full social network along the lines of Facebook or Myspace, although both smaller and more complete than the competition. Personal ads are just the beginning, with members given the option to upload photo albums, blogs, webcams, and writings of every sort. The community appears to be tightly knit but loosely organized.
As with many other sites designed for the young adult/college crowd, some concerns become apparent when examining the website. Apparently kids as young as 16 are allowed to join, as evidenced by the options on the join screen. However, there appears to be no upper age limit, which opens up the possibility of the site being mis-used by internet predators. The inherent openness and sharing of the community is excellent, but users are reminded to use caution and avoid giving out personal information.
Overall, Campus Kiss seems to be a nice, smaller alternative to the social networking mega-sites such as Myspace and Facebook. As long as users remain careful to protect their personal information, the networking, sharing and openness are terrific values that should be encouraged. Jump right in and become an active member of the community and you will find that the rewards are plentiful.
