Loners On Wheels is not specifically designed to promote dating. Rather, the focus is on camaraderie and friendship for singles who own RVs. Nonetheless, in a social club whose sole membership requirements are to be legally single and not co-habitating with a member of the opposite sex, romance is bound to bloom.

It is one of many social clubs available to those who live full-time or part-time in an RV. The club focuses on the unique needs of those who live alone in those RVs. Linked by the twin interests of RVing and travel, members automatically share quite a bit of common ground.

Loners On Wheels holds several events throughout the year, but it is not unusual to find members at virtually any campground in North America at any given time. At both official and unofficial gatherings, friendships and more are spontaneously generated through shared dinners, movies and other activities. One of the most popular activities is the free hugs that are dispensed liberally with morning coffee.

Membership in Loners On Wheels membership is open to anyone who lives in an RV and is legally single and not living with someone of the opposite gender, regardless of age. Nonetheless, since RV ownership is largely skewed toward the older population, Loners On Wheels membership tends to be as well.

The club is an excellent resource, as anyone who has lived in an RV for any period of time is well aware of the amount of work and creative genius necessary to maintain a comfortable, well running environment. Loners On Wheels members assist each other in dealing with any issues that may arise, from loneliness and boredom to RV maintenance issues. The purpose of the club is not romance, but relationships often form out of the common bonds and shared mutual interests.

The only potential downside to Loners On Wheels is that as soon as you make a successful romantic match, you no longer qualify to be members of the club! It may be difficult to make the transition, but true love is definitely worth the sacrifice.
