A Pretty Good Site That Offers Totally Free Personals
Search Your Love is something of a rarity on the internet dating scene. The site is both completely free and extremely full of substantive content. Most 100% free internet dating services consist of little more than a collection of short profiles, many of whose creators have long since moved on. Those sites are often difficult to navigate and ultimately useless.
By comparison, Search Your Love maintains a frequently update site with an active and involved community. Search Your Love offers much more than most free sites, maintaining both an enhanced messaging service and a popular forum in which topics vary from Singles Life and Astrology to Gambling Addiction and Travel Talk. The site strives to provide a complete resource center as well, with a collection of articles on dating and relating.
Extremely unusual for a completely free internet dating service is Search Your Love’s unlimited photo hosting capacity. Most free sites limit users to less than three photos and many paid services limit free members to only one. The surging popularity of sites such as Myspace has led to a proliferation of online photos, and it is nice to find a dating site that allows these photos to be shared within the anonymity of the site’s community. Search Your Love even allows these photos to be rated by other users of the site, providing potentially valuable feedback to those who post.
Search Your Love’s search engine is fairly basic, allowing users to search profiles only by gender, age (which maxes out at 50+), and location. The lack of an option to search by either physical description or interests means that searches can quickly become tedious.
