Dating Rules For Women

One of the most commonly asked questions is "How can I get my man to be more romantic?" While some guys simply do not have a natural talent for romance and so must be led every step of the way, many more guys have simply repressed their romantic natures. Men are raised to be tough and unemotional, so unlocking the romantic side of your guy might take some work. However, it is far from impossible. Try the following three-step program.

1. Tell him.

Do not throw accusations or try to make him feel bad. Just tell him calmly but directly that you would enjoy adding a bit more romance into your relationship. Give him a few concrete examples of romantic gestures that you enjoy and then end the discussion quickly and smoothly. It is easy for this topic to turn to argument, so simply tell him what you like and leave it at that. Then give him some time to mull it over in his own head and decide what to do with the information.

2. Show him.

Develop a repertoire of your own romantic gestures and offer them freely to him. Let him experience how nice it feels to be romanced. He will love the feeling and want to reciprocate.

3. Reward him.

Practice positive reinforcement. Whenever he makes an effort, no matter how clumsy, praise him liberally. Do something he likes in return. When your man sees positive rewards for his attempts, he will look forward to making attempts more often. The more practice he gets, the better he will be at romance.
