Mail Order Brides, Anyone?
The Mail Order Brides Guide offers a reasonably comprehensive resource for those interested in marrying a woman from overseas. The premise is quite old and many are unaware that this option still exists. In fact, the practice may have gone underground to some extent but is apparently still alive and well in modern American society.
According to the Guide, the only thing that has changed is the home location of the brides. The Guide states that the practice began with women from Europe and now primarily involves women from Russia. Detailed information is given on the site as to why this change has taken place.
The Guide goes in depth into the entire process of finding a mail order bride, from purchasing addresses through a specialty company through the pros and cons of so-called Romantic Tours. Numerous links are also given on the site, ostensibly to international dating sites, although it does not appear that any of the linked sites actually deal directly in mail order brides.
It is unclear exactly who wrote the Guide, and what his or her interest in the situation may be, but regardless the site provides some entertaining reading material. Of course, as with any information from an uncertain source, it is best to take most of what is said with a grain of salt.
If you are seriously interested in the concept of a mail order bride, it would be wise to do serious research into the topic, including possible legal hurdles. Therefore, how one is to obtain this purchased list of addresses is not entirely clear.
Nonetheless, the Guide is free and provides an interesting perspective on the idea of mail order brides.
