When I heard the name of this site I immediately thought of love and webcams. I happen to be in love with webcams, so I thought this was right up my alley. Nevertheless, you can say that what I found would be disappointing to most.

I chose a username, password, created a quick profile, and decided to join the video chat under a free trial membership. My experience lasted about fifteen minutes.

I found myself in a sea of webcams and I had the ability to watch three cams at a time. I’m really not sure how I could describe my experience. Let me try:

First, I was overwhelmed by the clarity of audio and video. I felt like I was actually in the homes/offices of these people. It was great.

Secondly, while I loved the technological aspect, I felt mislead because the Cupid Cams dating chat rooms were shared with XXX chat rooms from affiliate sites. Not what I expected! 

So try to imagine this scenario:

You find a man or woman on webcam who’s attractive, seemingly intelligent, and you strike up a conversation. It’s going great, when suddenly, someone ELSE in the room (sporting a mullet, four teeth, and beer bottle) starts DEMANDING that you show them your body.

Fortunately, I learned how to utilize the ignore feature quickly. Sadly, stupidity breeds stupidity. In a matter of moments, I was swallowed up by a sea of weirdo’s that played with their meat-whistle as they typed in strange dialects of moon language. “PLZ BB SHO SKIN,” was one request before I closed my web’s browser. The other requests were just as strange. I couldn’t seem to use the ignore feature fast enough.

The verdict? The site was fantastic. The people, well, I don’t think they were there to meet cupid. If you’re looking for ‘anything goes’ fun, this is the place to find it. If you’re looking for love and a bizarre way to pass the time, you just may find the diamond in the rough while you’re there. Just remember, there’s a lot of ‘rough’ in this place.
